N P Blackman BSc MRICS

Nick qualified as a chartered building surveyor in 1989 moving from London to Bristol the previous year to join JP Sturge & Sons (later King Sturge & Co) where he initiated the building surveying department in their Exeter office.

In 1994, Nick joined Henry Butcher's Bristol office to establish and run their building surveying section. In 1998, Nick joined The Building Consultancy as equity partner but dissolved the partnership to develop his own interests in providing a rounded property consultancy with a building-related emphasis.

Married with four young children, Nick is past Divisional Branch Chairman and a former Honorary Secretary of the RICS building surveying division and has chaired interview panels of the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.

He is a visiting lecturer at the University of the West of England
